About Sudbury Joggers
Click here for Membership Details and Benefits
Sudbury Joggers are primarily a Road Running club based in Sudbury area of West Suffolk. The club meets on Wednesday Evenings at 7.20pm for a 7.30pm run from Sudbury Upper School/Sports Centre in Tudor Road.
We are affiliated to the South of England Athletic Association and Suffolk Athletics.
Distances run on club nights depend on who and how many turn up, and the time of year and weather conditions, but there will always be someone to run with. In fact we make a point of not letting anyone run on their own on club nights.
Sample Club Night Runs
Club members regularly take part in locally organised events from 5kms to the marathon, as well as some of those organised further away. As well as running events club members have also taken part in Triathlons, Biathlons and Trail Runs.
Sudbury Joggers has also formed a composite team with Newmarket Joggers to take part in The Fenn Wright Suffolk Winter Cross Country League. A series of 5 cross country events including Framlingham, Woodbridge, Bungay, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds. There is a trophy presentation and fun cross country relay event at Woodbridge School to finalise the league each March.
Club members are entitled to take part in the Suffolk Cross Country Championships which occurs annually in January.
No pressure is put onto members to take part in any of the organised events, so if anyone wants to just run for pleasure and fitness they will be made more than welcome.
Anyone training with a marathon in mind can often meet up with other club members on a Sunday morning for that longer run which can be taken more seriously if needed. These longer training runs are usually arranged on Wednesday evenings.
Changing and showers are also available at the leisure centre, as well as a bar!!
